Lets Get Physical

Well, it wasn't really my plan to go on with that all sporty vibe, or maybe yes because of the obvious evidence, I'm not sure. Bottom line is, I want to feel comfortable with my outfit yet look edgy in it so I wore clothes with textures and prints. On being comfy, how could you go wrong with sweater, athletic shorts and a pair of wedge sneakers right?

Sweater: Topshop

By the way, speaking of prints, the trick on doing leopard on leopard is you keep the rest in your outfit not as bongga (extravagant). Also, make sure that they're not clashing prints ie. one is subtle while the other one is loud like how I'd done it here or one print is smaller than the other.

Sequined shorts: Forever 21/ Leopard printed tights: Topshop

 Bag: Forever 21
 Bracelets: HappyBoon

Wedge Sneakers: Promod

Ok I've got issues. My main concerns are: 1. I should've chosen a different spot for my outfit shots because my shirt kind of blended with the background and 2. Maybe its better if I wore my brother's hat as well - the whole look would be a killa swag ya know. :) lol

PS. I also wore this to our mini "photo-shoot". A sample campaign advocacy we are doing for a cool eyewear brand which the company I belong to distributes. Will see if I can post that here in my blog.

Enjoy the rest of the week! God bless!

Flying Dutchman

Last Friday, Neil and I had a chance to visit The Collective in Malugay St. Makati. I was actually a first-timer while Neil had been there few times already. It was a cool, very artsy and laid back place. Perfect for hanging out and partying with friends since different bands perform there and events are held occasionally. Aside from some bar and restos, you'll find stores where you can shop bikes, paintings, shoes, clothes and even organic products. One shop where we got in was the Flying Dutchman. If I were a man, would probably make it on my favorite local stores must-shop-list.

I'm in-love with their store. So even if I only got my iPhone 5 to take photos, it didn't stop me from snapping. Thank God for a decent resolution.

The shoes above ranges from Php1800-2,200. Not bad at all!

I think their regular polo shirts are priced P900, I'm not sure though if its for all designs but Neil bought one that was on sale for P450 only.

Sando for the guys alert! 3 for P999! Such a Bargain! They've got nice prints too!

My brother asked me to buy him the red one, it cost him P1150.

So there you go, a short trip with the Dutchman. I know those guys who love to dress up as well need to know where to find stores like this because it isn't like with the girls where you can find fab items anywhere. I'll leave you with a map so it would be easy for you to find your way there!

Till the next! God bless!

Gotta Love Carrie!

Just like to share with you my new favorite series: The Carrie Diaries!!!

Love everything about it, the settings, the story, the characters especially AnnaSophia Robb as Carrie (she's awesome!) and gosh, the fashion where you can draw so much inspirations from! <3 Watching the first episode makes me wanna experience first day of school again! The excitement of finding or seeing your friends again, checking out cute guys and saying hello to new stuffs! Gah, it's been 5 years since I've been in school and I super miss it. True enough, it's way easier than being an employee. A piece of advice? (wow, I feel old) give it your best while the moment lasts, you can never go back once you get older. But of course, you can still remain to be young at heart like me. :)

Watch the Carrie Diaries on ETC during Mondays, 8pm. The time slot isn't for me so thank God for my friend Joey who downloaded the first episode so I was able to sync it on my phone. Can't wait for the next ones!!!

God bless!

Mixed Media

Denim, florals, pastels, neons, aztec, metals, studs, leather, suede and spikes; you will find them all in my outfit. When different materials are combined all together in an artwork, they are labelled "Mixed-media" (ok, not that I'm one best example of an artwork).

Floral Shorts: Topshop

Arm Candies:  HappyBoon

Aztec Nail Art - I'll find time to blog about how you can do this at home! Did it myself. Don't worry, it's not manually painted. :)

Bag: Forever 21

 Wedge Sneakers: Promod

Hah! after I bought this pair of shoes, I wore them for 3 straight days already. Loving it so much because aside that it is "swag" (lol) there these 2 major factors - extra height and comfort. Just what I needed. Anyway, these whole outfit is something that I could wear everyday. Casual yet edgy, comfortable chic and very me.

Grungy

Praise God for a very very good weather in Manila these past few days. I love that it is just partly sunny during the day, not scorching and there's this cold breeze during the night. Makes me want to spend more time with my bed and pillows. The best part? I could wear my sweaters again! :) Last December was just like Summer, so didn't enjoyed the weather as much. What's happening with mother Earth?

Top: TRF by Zara

 Aviator: Gucci

 Studded Bag: Forever 21

Pants: Topshop

Bracelets: HappyBoon

Wedge Sneakers: Promod

I've got a thing for comfortable-chic shoes, when I found one I tend to overuse them and afterwards get sad when they are ruined or something. Speaking of which is the wedge sneakers trend - which I really love! I know the trend has been around for a while now and I got frustrated when I wasn't able to get a pair from Topshop or Forever 21 last year because they were so in-demand that time. This pair I got from Promod just recently were a great substitute if you can't afford pairs from Isabel Marant, Giuseppe Zanotti or Marc by Marc Jacobs like me. They're not as luxe but they definitely do the same trick in fashion. Honestly, if i can, I'd love to have more in different colors like these pictures below that I collected from random sites typing "wedge sneakers". :))

Well, we will see. For now, let's be happy with what we got. :))

Cat Eyes

Wore this to church service yeasterday in celebration of Grand New Year. If you are a constant visitor of my blog, you have probably noticed already that my style is more of on the comfortable-street-relaxed-trendy-laidback-edgy side rather than the girly-girl-dainty-high-end-classic type. So yah, I don't do "typical sunday dress" on Sundays

Aviator: Gucci

 Skirt: K2

I love how this skirt is making a statement on its own. When I first saw it at the Supersale Bazaar last December, I fell in love instantly so even if I kinda said that I am not going to shop, I couldn't resist it and went back to the booth, bought a Fuchsia pink blazer also. :)

Bracelets: HAPPYBOON

Bag with Gold Studs (a gift from le boyfriend): FOREVER 21

 Boots: HK

Oh, have you noticed my newly colored and cut hair? Its not obvious but it has copper low-lights, my hair was so blonde before my stylist Bunny applied it. The copper made it reddish. <3
