Dots It

Polka dots. A classic print that will never go out of style, I'm sure your mom has one or even your grandma. Did I tell you I love sweaters? I bought this one on sale at my-sweater-to-go-shop which is no other than Forever 21 cause they just got so many pretty designs! With this type of top in classic print and color combo, possibilities of wearing it are definitely numerous; it could go well with a skirt in any bright color, put detachable collar if youre going a little preppy, add black eye frames to make it quirky or pair it with a denim cut-offs with military vest/jacket over and so on.

Well as for me last Sunday, I just wore it with a good pair of jeans and an oxford creepers. Since everything will be just black, white and navy, I added a minimum amount of neons for pop of colors and then I'm off to Church.

Oh hello readers! 

I know that its been a while since my last blog post. Well, we all know what happened in the Philippines last week, spent 3 weekdays at home just chilled before the mega heavy rain with matching scary thunders and lightnings. Everything was all over the news and it was really sad knowing there were so many people affected and lives even ruined by it. But I'd like to say that through times like that, we are being tested; physically, emotionally and most of all spiritually. And true enough, we've proved ourselves something...

Basics Reinvented

First of all i just like to say, hooray to Neil's new camera (from D40 to D7000)! Look at those pictures, before, we really don't like taking pictures at night because of poor lighting. But now, we want more lights in the background!

Haha, I'm not going to lie I know apart from him I'm the one who's really going to benefit from it. 

So hooray to better photos in my blog! :)

Moving on to what I am wearing; 

Well basically you know I have worn most of this separately from my previous posts. You see there's nothing wrong in repeating clothes as long as you style them differently and make them appear like they're brand new again. Last Friday, since i will be out almost the whole day for work, i opted to wear my oxfords which I got from the last Supersale Bzaar for P400 ($10) - such a steal! 

For me, men-inspired women's clothing are best matched with the girly pieces. It somehow create an unusual (in a good way) balance to the whole look.

Here, I come up with 2 sets of looks I created using Polyvore.com. :)

Key pieces: Oxfords, Boyfriends denim button down. Fedora

If you wanna try some of these looks but not yet willing to invest in men-inspired pieces, why not borrow from your boyfriend or brother instead? :)
